Tip: count re-renders. A 4-minute module edited twice consumes ~12 minutes on tools that bill per render.

How to read the table

Cost per included minute is the plan price divided by the minutes bundled in it. It's the fairest single number for comparing plans, but it isn't your whole bill: if you exceed the allowance you'll pay for top-up credits or move up a tier, and if you use fewer minutes than the allowance your effective cost per minute goes up. The "covers your minutes?" column tells you whether a plan handles your volume without top-ups.

Two structural differences also matter. Synthesia bills flat minutes with no rollover; HeyGen's credits roll over on paid plans, which helps if your production is lumpy. And Synthesia's Enterprise plan is unlimited minutes, so for teams producing hours a month the right comparison is a Synthesia quote versus HeyGen Business ($149/mo + $20/seat, 1,500 credits).
