About AI Video Bench
AI Video Bench is an independent comparison site for AI video and voice tools — Synthesia, HeyGen, Colossyan, ElevenLabs, Murf, Pictory, InVideo, Descript and the tools that will replace them. It was started in September 2026 by Hilton, a small-business operator who spent too many evenings reading comparison pages that were out of date, undisclosed, or written by one of the vendors.
What we do differently
- Dated verification. Every price, plan limit and credit rate is checked against the vendor's own pricing page, and the check date is printed at the top of the page. We re-check monthly.
- Cost-per-minute math. Sticker prices hide the real bill. We publish minutes per dollar and give you a calculator for your own volume.
- Verdicts by job, not by tool. The right tool for a compliance team is the wrong tool for a YouTuber. We say which is which.
- Disclosure on every page. If a link can earn us a commission, the page says so at the top. We recommend tools we don't earn from when they're the right answer.
What we don't do
We don't run sponsored reviews, we don't accept payment for placement or ranking, we don't publish fake testimonials or invented "user counts", and we don't use countdown timers or fake scarcity. If a vendor changes a plan and our page is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it and note the correction.
Hands-on testing
We run the same 60-second test script through each tool's free plan and note render quality, voice naturalness and minutes consumed. Those notes are being added page by page; where a page relies on published specifications rather than our own render, the method note at the bottom of the page says so.
